A star to mark a wedding or anniversary
Last updated 1 November 2026
A star named for a couple says something lasting. Give one as a wedding present, for a first anniversary, or for a ruby or golden one: a real star recorded under both names.
One star, both your names
Every star we register is a real star, with its catalogue number, position and constellation. It is entered in the Intergalactic Star Database under the name you choose, and no star is given to two people in our registry. From November 2026 each star also has its own page on this website, to look up and share.
Ideas for the name
- Both names: "Sarah & James"
- With the date: "Sarah & James, 14 June 2026"
- A milestone: "Mum & Dad, 40 years"
In the pack
A Certificate of Registry, a Star Area Co-ordinates Sheet, a welcome letter and a fold-out star chart of the night sky. The certificate looks good framed alongside wedding photographs.
An evening to look for it
The co-ordinates sheet shows which months the star is highest. On a clear, dark night, a pair of binoculars and our guide to finding a star are all you need. Some couples make finding it part of each anniversary.
