Lost your Database Number?

Last updated 1 November 2026

Your Database Number is ISD followed by seven digits, for example ISD1000001. It is the key to your star online. If you can't put your hands on it, here is where to look and how we can help.

Where it is printed

  • On your Certificate of Registry, near the top, under "Intergalactic Star Database number".
  • At the bottom of your Star Area Co-ordinates Sheet, beside the logo.
  • If someone sent you a gift link to your star, the number is in that link and on the page it opens.

Found it? Enter the digits on our star finder to see your star and print new copies of your documents.

If the documents are lost

Contact us with as much as you can: the star's name exactly as it was registered, roughly when it was ordered, and the name of the person who bought it. For stars registered from November 2026 we can usually find the record and send you the number, so you can print fresh copies at home.

Registered before November 2026? Older stars are held in our original registry, which isn't connected to this website. Here is what you can do.
