When will my star arrive?
Last updated 1 November 2026
Most packs leave us within 24 hours of your order. Here is what happens between you clicking Buy and the envelope landing on the mat, and how to cut it fine without missing the day.
From order to post
When your Amazon order comes in, we choose a real star, register it in the Intergalactic Star Database under the name you typed, and print its Certificate of Registry and Star Area Co-ordinates Sheet. The pack, with the welcome letter and the fold-out star chart, goes into its full-colour gift envelope and out with Royal Mail, usually the same or the next working day.
Amazon shows you the expected delivery date before you pay, and the tracking afterwards, under Your Orders in your Amazon account.
Christmas and other big days
- Christmas: order by 18 December for UK delivery before Christmas.
- Birthdays and anniversaries: allow a few working days, and a little longer around bank holidays, when Royal Mail is busier.
- Weekends: orders placed on a Friday evening or at the weekend go out on the next working day.
Ordering now? Type the name exactly as you want it printed; we print it as you type it. Preview it on the certificate first.

Every pack carries its star's Database Number. Enter it on our star finder to see the star on a live sky map and to print fresh copies of the certificate and co-ordinates sheet at home, whenever you like. Handy if the pack is a surprise and you want a copy for yourself.
